Howard has received no formal training as an Artist, his skills have been developed over a number of years.
Now living in West Dorset, overlooking Golden Cap and the Jurassic Coast, Howard takes his inspiration from architecture and the surrounding Dorset landscape.
He has worked mainly in Ink and pencil and has developed his own style, with landscapes, seascapes and architectural subjects, but is now transfering those skills into beautiful paintings using clever mix of watercolour and pastels.
His style can only be described as super realism –
“If my work is not instantly recognisable then I have failed to capture the detail and beauty of the subject frozen in time”.
"Our landscape has been shaped over millions of years and it is only right and proper that I try and capture it in all its natural glory".
His work has been reproduced in several formats including prints and cards and has sold across the UK and in the USA. His pictures are also in Private Collections in Russia and the Ukraine.
Currently Howard is working on the illustrations for a novel based in Dorset written by a local Author.
