Colmers Hill, the 2017 Sunday Times Watercolour Artist of the Year entry.
Howard Flanagan is an international artist, who has become more widely known over the last few years for his individual, highly detailed paintings.
His work is in private and corporate collections in the UK, Australia, America, Europe, Ukraine, Russia and the Beijing Yacht club.
He was a finalist in the 2017 Sunday Times Watercolour Artist of the Year
and has exhibited with the Royal Watercolour Society and the Pastel Society. This year he has worked extensively with the organisers of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race and International children’s charity UNICEF, to produce twelve paintings and a series of limited edition prints, all sold in aid of UNICEF. The original paintings were exhibited in Liverpool this July to coincide with the end of the 2017/2018 Clipper race.
Working mainly in pastel, watercolour and ink, Howard seeks to capture the quiet, unadorned natural beauty in the eyes of people and the landscape around us.
In 2018 his highly acclaimed one-man show in Liverpool, was followed by an equally successful one-man exhibition at the Courtyard Gallery, Lyme Regis.
A selection of his work is now on display and available for sale at Edwards and Parr, Lyme Regis and his affordable art is still available at the excellent Annie’s, in Morcombelake.
